Hey Everyone! …Anyone? I finally decided that I was going to make a blog. I figure that I’m on the computer enough anyways, I might as well have something to show for it haha. (:
So anyways, my first post is going to be about Glamour Doll Eyes. This mineral makeup company is all the rage on YouTube and with good reason! The shadows are truly AMAZING and completely affordable. I placed an order sometime in May of various samples and was extremely impressed! So last week I was browsing through that Glamour Doll website and saw that in the FAQ section there is a Makeup Artist Discount! Yippee! Now although I’m nowhere close to being a professional makeup artist, I do love me some makeup in bulk! If you purchase at least 16 full size jars (No samples, collections, or glamour glosses) and use the discount code “MUA” at checkout, you get 50% off your order!!! So at $6 per jar, and 16 jars, your total would amount to $96. However after you enter the code you are only paying $48! Such a steal for the amazing quality these eye shadows are. At first I thought that I would have a hard time picking out 16 that I would want in fullsize, but that feeling didn’t last long, and my order ended up being 25 Eye Shadows and 3 Eyelights (Glitter). The Eyelights are $4.50 each and are great finely milled glitter perfect for using as liner or even just patting over the lid. My original total was $163.50 but after the code only ended up being $81.75 (and FREE shipping!)
Processing and Shipping take a little longer then most companies because all products are packed to order. Vee (the owner) also does ALL of the work by herself. I placed my order on July 23rd and I recived it today, on the 4th of August. So about two weeks total which isn’t bad (even though i'm extremely impatient!) for shipping and processing given that Vee gives a fair warning on her site: “Normal processing time is 7-9 days after payment has cleared. If you have a larger order, please expect a few more days delay! Processing time does not include shipping time!,Please be aware before ordering, I am a one woman show. I do all the printing, designing, labeling, mixing, packaging, shipping and promoting 100% by myself. I do orders in the order that they were received."
My order arrived in a nice little mailing box and the shadows were in 3 plastic bags (kind of like ziplock bags would be). The first time I ordered my shadows came packaged in bubble wrap but I'm assuming thats because they came in a mailing envelope and not a box. They also come packaged with various business cards with some example looks, along with a sticker! (: Ohh and for every order you recieve 2 free sample baggies of shadow. Each five gram jar comes closed tightly and with a little piece of tape on side for safe traveling.Now on to the actually colors and pictures! (I have to warn you that there are a TON of pictures and they are HUGE! Thats the only way that I could figure out to make sure they are clear)

The descriptions of each color are a combination of the Glamour Doll Website description and my own. One thing that I completely love about the Glamour Doll website, is that the swatches they have on the website are incredibly accurate. I grouped them *kind of* by shade and then took a picture of the open jar, I might add swatches later but the colors are truly all pigmented and show up almost exactly what the color appears to be in the jar. ohh and some of the pictures came out a little wonky :/ I'm still working at my picture taking skills haha. Ok, here we go! (All of the colors with a * before the name are my favorites!) (Although there honestly isn't even one that I don't like)
First up are all the brown toned/neutral shades:
Bare Naked is a mild, natural, beige with minimal sheen.
Behind the Scenes is a pretty meduim brown with gold and bronze sparkle.
*Chocoholic is a deep chocolate brown with copper sparkle.
*Brown Eyed Girl is an extremely shimmery light brown with lots of mauve/purple shimmer.
Boyfriend Sweater is soft taupe/brown color with medium gold shimmer.
*DinoSpotz is a super unique color. It's a brown/red color with tons of green shimmer.
The next grouping is a combo of greens, blues, and teals: *LOVE THESE*
*Immature is a deep but still bright green/teal color with low sheen.
Fabulous! is a light blue aqua color with moderate shimmer.
*Shamrock is a bright shimmery medium green. Sorry its so blurry :/
Jealousy is a really dark metallic green with black and gold undertones.
*Blueberry Lush is a bright blue with medium sheen.
This is a sort of random assortment of colors, they are all the shades that didn't fit into another grouping. Still equally gorgeous though (:
*Electric Lemonade is a vivid yellow with lots of shimmer. This is Glamour Dolls #1 Best Seller!
*Jailhouse Jumpsuit is a really smooth bright medium orange.
*Pistol Pistol is a blackened silver (almost gunmetal) with multi colored shimmer.
Upper East Side is a really dark metallic silvery green with a lot of silver shimmer.
Love Affair is a really light pink beige color.
Cloud Coverage is a really smooth opaque matte white.
I forgot to take a picture of the last grouping :/ Sorry about that. But they are mostly purple tones.
*Shaded Orchid is a very dark red toned purple color.
Typical Girl is a light grayish purple with some pink hues.
All Nighter is a dark purple color with a lot of blue tones. Its a combo of blue and purple.
Flashdance! is fresh blue with medium shimmer and some subtle hints of purple.
Graves in May is a really soft grey purple color with pink undertones.
Veteran is a shimmery dark navy blue with lots of red sparkle.
Last but not least are the 3 Eye Lights (I LOVE GLITTER!!!)
*Hollywood is a crazy amazing hologram silver glitter powder
*Little Black Dress is an all black glitter.
Techno is a green/blue glitter powder
